Climbing Training No. 5 - Power Circuit
Power circuits are the final exams of endurance, strength, power endurance and rest cycle. They are the hardest of training days requiring amplified emotional, mental, physical and spiritual balance.
Eat well today! Drink tons of water. Plan protein and carbs :45 mins before/after training. Arrive :15 early to locate problems and set up your circuit.
Find the following power problems:
2- dynamic overhang problems (4 attempts only)
1- problem w/ >4 moves
1- easy roof problem w/lip turn (3 attempts only)
1- dynamic start problem (must be able to make and set second move)
1- dynamic ending problem (0 hesitation by 2nd attempt)
1- dynamic crux in a problem
1- lateral dynamic problem
2- eliminating problems (in 3 attempts only)
What to look for -
space between holds
sloper holds
bump moves
compression /extension
elimination
trajectory
Arrive 6:00p / Depart 8:00p - SIGNIFICANT WARM UP AND WARM DOWN W/COACH. LONGER PRACTICE. Warm up starts at 6:20p
