Climbing Program
Brown Girls Climbing is the first rock climbing, and adventure-centered leadership program for Girls of Color in the United States. Through an experiential journey, we celebrate and elevate young people, who are learning to become self-reliant, mindful and compassionate humans. The intentional purpose of a rich program involving a youth team is to provide accessible and equitable bridge, for girls of color to receive benefits of healthy social, emotional, physical and spirit growth through nature-based adventure experience. Our vision to close the nature, recreation and adventure gap; elevating Black and Brown joy, starts with the youngest generation through education, imploring sportswomanship, and cultivate a viable community culture promoting inclusion of diversity, elevating girls of color in adventure-based sports and outdoor recreation. Our inclusivity elevates all girl-identifying and gender expansive people of color.
Our Program
Reaching New Heights
Brown Girls Climbing welcomes girls to be their whole selves in a comfortable and encouraging environment. We have developed a platform and safe space to mature compassionately, learning openness and patience. Within our organic journey together and taking time to understand how the different strengths each person manifest, our girls develop a connection to the cohesive roles they play on a team and in community.
Exploration & Discovery
BIPOC, self-identified girls ages 7 + explore all the possibilities of their journey being a part of an intrinsically mindful program where they can express dynamic leadership skills and establish mentoring cohorts in their communities. Participants learn valuable tools to connect with voice, body and confidence through the earth. Our exploration creates the opportunity for girls to mindfully challenge themselves, take away and enhanced the emotions they experience in challenging situations.
Mindful Connections
Brown Girls Climbing is a comfortable and encouraging environment for girls to take on new challenges. Our girl-positive program is mindfully intended to incorporate the overwhelming health benefits of mental, emotional, physical and spiritual expose to nature and the outdoors.
Bridging the
Adventure Gap
Brown Girls Climbing Programs are open to gender expansive, non-binary participants of the Global Diaspora.
Welcome, included, accepted and respected are transgender girls, gender-fluid/expansive and non-binary human beings.
We specialize in bridging the adventure gap of accessibility, equity, and inclusion with the vision of unapologetic sovereign joy with our community.

Brown Girls Climbing
Team
Brown Girls Climbing Team is focused on building connection, improving physical fitness, and exploring joy through nature based exploration for girls of color ages 7+ Our three tier program of intimate group size Ascent Team, Peak Adventure Team and Competitive Training Team meet weekly throughout the school year.
Our weekly experiential adventure practice modules include rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, standup paddleboarding, horseback riding, yoga, fitness, camping and so much more! All practices are safely structured sequenced to develop skills and confidence in all aspects of try.
