Do you need camping gear?

TFS has a Gear Library to access camping equipment for free!

What to Expect

Our Annual Team Campout is an intentional bonding space for new and seasoned team members. In the beautiful setting of Anthony Chabot Regional Park, our rooted Each One, Teach One philosophy is in full affect through teambuilding, camp life and community.

Community Camping Rhythms

  • Campers ease into community with team development games, creative prompts, and a welcome circle to set the tone.

  • Camp Set Up : 3:30p

    Taking time to set up tents and camp life is easy when working together to build shelter, and fire, and a delicious meal.

    Nature Immersion : 5p

    Find peace in exploration, meditation, dancing or creation with personal time to ground and center in nature. This is your time to breathe and connect.

  • Dinner : 6p

    Camp cooking together is fun and full of teachable moments. Let’s break bread and enjoy smores.

    7p Parent pick up at campsite - if not camping overnight

    Campfire Showcase : 8p

    Join in for a night of stories, skits, laughter around the campfires sets lifetime memories of collective community and collaboration.

  • Settle into sleeping bag, land into the earth for a beautiful rest under the stars.

  • Rise gently with the morning birds. Take a meditation walk or join in the yoga circle to rise gently in nature.

There are several access points to Anthony Chabot Regional Park on Redwood Road in Oakland. From I-580 westbound in Castro Valley, take the Redwood Road exit. At Redwood Road, turn right. (From I-580 eastbound, take the Redwood Road exit and turn left at Redwood.) After about two miles on Redwood you will first come to Proctor Staging Area, then the Redwood Golf Course, both on the left. Another few miles will bring you to Marciel Gate at Marciel Road. This is a hiking and equestrian staging area, and Marciel Road leads to a group camping area, and the Chabot Family Campground.

At front gate: Inform ranger you are dropping a child to camp at the Group Campsite and will not be staying. Campsite reservation is under: Emily Taylor/Reservation No. 2-38974241
